2006 Ultimate Adventure Truck and Driver Profiles - Scott Frary - 2005 Custom Jeep Wrangler

Scott Frary - 2005 Custom Jeep Wrangler
Ua Truck Driver Profiles Scott Frary

Driver: Scott Frary

Age:In dog years...I'm dead

Occupation:Sales Manager for Eaton/Detroit Locker

Where did you come from?:Seattle, WA

Did you tow it out or drive it?:Towed

How long have you been off-roading?:19 years

What got you into 4x4s?:A friend bought a flattie, from there I was hooked.

Favorite part of the trip:The sand dunes

Funniest thing you saw happen:Trent in his latest fashion accessory...duct tape.

What was your least favorite part of the trip?:Getting back from the sand dunes and finding our tent upside down and full of water. All clothing was soaked. I almost whined.

Hardtop, soft top, or no top:Bikini...not me, the Jeep. The visual made even me gag.

Would you want to work for a 4x4 mag now that you've met us and seen what we do?:No. I don't think I could build a rig and let someone else beat the crap out of it.

Would you kick out your co-driver if we had a supermodel to ride in your truck?:Hell yeah! What are you, nuts?! OK, that was the first response. On second thought...can someone else spot me while she keeps the seat covered?

Would you do it again next year, or would it be asking too much of your battered body?:Yeah. I'd do it again but I'll get a better tent, lobby for a camp cook, and a tour guide with a watch.

Favorite truck on the trip (besides your own):Fred Perry's. Low, 39s, V-8, very cool and it goes anywhere. Even though it's cool, I'd ditch the air shocks.

Co-Driver:Alan Hewitt

Age:Nearly extinct

Occupation:Iron worker
