For their fourth year, Flowmaster returned as Official Muffler of the Ultimate Adventure.
While the guys from Northern California have yet to attend the UA in a vehicle, it sure doesn't mean their presence has not been heard.
Of course, Flowmaster product once again adorned the Ultimate Adventure Official Vehicle. This year was a set of 50 series SUV mufflers installed by Greg Gallegos at the Flowmaster facility. For a touch of irony, we finished off the 2 1/2 inch full dual system with a shiny set of polished stainless tips. While they were tucked up out of harm's way, a few wayward rocks did their best to hammer them shut. It would have been tough to do that to the mufflers themselves which are pretty resistant to such abuse. Many folks who run Flowmasters proudly show theirs replete the battle scars of rock crawling.
The Ultimate K-10 was not the only vehicle on the trip shouting out that unique tone. John Hughbanks 460 powered monster Bronco wailed away the entire trip with a short set of Flowmasters on an even shorter exhaust system. Tom Boyd's custom red Bronco (image: Bronco Boyd) has run dual Flow's for years and Jeff Nasi's runs a single 3" Flowmaster underneath the camo'd M715 support rig.
