BFGoodrich has been around the Ultimate Adventure nearly from the start. They are more than just a sponsoring brand and more than just the Official Tire. BFG has truly immersed themselves into what this trip is all about and how their product fits. In other words - these guys are truly happy in the dirt.

The BFG Krawler was born on the Ultimate Adventure. Chief Krawler guru Gary Enterline is deeply active during the full week of sweat, rocks, dirt and sand views the experience he receives as crucial feedback.

This year, the Official K-10 was graced with a special set of tires. The very first sets of street legal DOT approved 39 inch BFG Krawlers. By the time this video is aired, the 39 Krawler will be hitting the street for everyone to enjoy.

The Krawlers truly shine in adverse conditions, especially when adverse means dirt, mud, and rocks all under categories of slippery, sharp and just plain ugly. As for the road, even at sizes as large as the 39's, the Krawlers are relatively quiet for such an aggressive tread pattern.

As you can tell from the coverage of the event, Krawlers were mounted on (BFG 12, BFG 11, BFG 10) twelve of the vehicles on the trip. Sizes ranged from 35's to 39's. Out of those 60 tires, only one failure was reported, an extreme sidewall gash on the Ultimate K-10.

In addition to the welcomed site of a BFG race support trailer and the incredible food within, the company also sent a true off-roader along as well. Fred Perry, no stranger to rocks and dirt, spent the week with the group in a highly modified Jeep TJ. Built from a bare Jeep Unlimited frame and two TJ bodies, Fred's custom sported a Grand Cherokee V8, Atlas T-case, Warn winch among other goodies, and of course, a set of 39 inch BFG Krawlers.
